First Bite [Video] Dated to Thursday

[The video feed shows Marceline as she strolls through the forest, staying in the shades of thetrees. She is dressed in her New Feather grab. She hums idly to herself before speaking, looking somewhat friendly and casual.]

Hey, guys. I've already taken a look through this book, so you can save the boring explanations. This Luceti's a pretty far-out place, huh? I've been to a whole lot of places in the land of Ooo, but I've never really seen a place like this. It's actually pretty dull next to Ooo. And it's pretty weird to see so many humans in this book, and not even a single candy person. I know one loser at home who would get a kick out of that.

But enough about me. How about you? To be more specific, how about one of you who can find me in this forest and bring me some kind of umbrella or something. I'd like to check out the shops pretty soon for my swag, and I wouldn't want to get... a sunburn? Yeahhh, that. And the person who helps me, will be rewarded by... [her eyes glow red, and her face shifts slightly to look more demonic] me promising not to eat any of their pets!

[Her face relaxes to normal, and she laughs.]

I feel like I'm gonna have a lot of fun with all the bozos here. By the way, my name's Marceline. The Vampire Queen!

[Marceline's eyes go red again, and she hisses.]

Thats...pretty vague. Can you give me any hints about...maybe...which set of trees you may be lost in?

[She sighs]

Can you hear any water running in the distance? Is there a New Feather station nearby? How about the sun? Which side of you is it on?

[She rolls her eyes.]

Yeah, I hear some water. It's really boring. And the sun is... I think it's a little more to the right. I'd prefer not to take a better look.

[pause]

Oh! And I have an awesome clue. This one tree I'm by right now, it has one branch that looks just like a baby's arm.

Alright. That...doesn't help your case at all, but I'm on my way.

[Rei rolls her eyes and heads out of town, carrying with a large umbrella, a coat, and a sunhat. ALSO several evil-sealing Ofuda scrolls in case the 'vampire queen' got violent.

She periodically calls out from the riverbank, while Phobos and Deimos circle overhead, looking around]

MARCELINE-SAN?

[Marceline responded only with a laugh. She brought herself as close to the river as she could manage without entering sunlight, curled up in a bush and began humming loudly to get someone's attention.]

LADADADEE DA!

[It took a little time, but eventually one of the crows spots Marceline, and circles back to Rei, leading her to...surprise surprise, the Vampire Queen!]

Marceline-san?

[The "san" sounded out, but it seemed a little familiar from those ancient weird cartoons she had sometimes seen. She gives a friendly smile - unfortunately, she didn't have enough warning to prepare to scare her. Instead, she casually leans back against a tree.]

That's me alright! You're Rei, huh? Those are some funky crows.

Yes, I am Rei, and these are my friends Phobos and Deimos. Here, I brought you some things to cover yourself.

[She'll hand you a sunhat, a coat, and the parasol]

Nice to meet you guys. [She accepts the items and starts to put them on, feeling refreshed.] Thanks. This is totally what I dig!

I figured you'd like that.

Are you...actually a Vampire?

Yep, I'm undead as can be. Why, you want to fight?

No, not really. I think you'd probably regret it if we did fight, though. I'm a miko, and I'm trained to...well...lets just say you wouldn't like it if I decided you were really a bad guy

[She shrugs, since she didn't sense anything intensely evil from Marceline.]

Do YOU want to fight?

[She casually examines her hand, in a show of smugness.]

I've only been around for a thousand years. I can take on almost anyone who isn't a ghost. And I'm always down for a good fight, yo.

[Rei shrugs]

Really? Thats kinda cute. You can't hurt ghosts? How do you feel about garlic, holy symbols, and things like that?

I can't say I'm a fan. But I'm a big girl. I can take a lot of punishment.

[Quietly, Rei pulls out an Ofuda scroll that she'd created just for vampires. The scroll was a powerful magic ward that wouldn't allow Marceline to come within a radius around her...and could paralyze any vampire it touched. This wasn't really meant to be a threat, Rei's demeanor about the whole thing was fairly calm.]

Well, I guess we could fight. I dunno though, you don't seem really evil though.

[She laughs.]

We don't have to. I don't feel like going on any rampage of destruction anytime soon. I guess I am pretty handicapped right now, anyway.

Good. I'd rather not have to use this on you. They take time to make, and as much as I enjoy calligraphy, my time is better spent doing other things.

Lets get you to town and get your clothes, ok?

Sure. They bring our other stuff here too, right?

Yes. We've got a ways to walk though, so lets get going.

[Rei waves, motioning for Marceline to follow]

Alright, Mom. [She rolls her eyes and follows.]

What's up with your weird scroll things, by the way?

These? They paralyze vampires and take away their powers. I'm a miko, like I said. Back home, its my job to deal with the undead.

[She smiles]

You...aren't from Earth, are you?

That's a pretty hardcore job. You'd wind up taking on most of my friends back home.

Earth is one name you could use for the planet. It's just not tossed around that much. We mostly stick in the land of Ooo.

Well, that depends. Miko have a lot of different jobs, and only one of them involves undead.

Wait, you're from Earth...but you call it Ooo? Why the change?

Earth's a pretty dull and ancient name. Ooo's actually just the continent where everything happens, but it's a much better name to use for the world.

Oh? What sort of things happeon on Ooo?

[She wrinkles her nose]
